The City of Lévis, located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River across from Québec City, is a dynamic municipality in Quebec. Covering an area of 444.2 km² and home to approximately 150,000 residents, it plays a key role in regional economic development and mobility.
Committed to improving infrastructure management and promoting sustainable mobility, the city partnered with Jakarto to create a digital twin and produce detailed inventories of its cycling and road infrastructure.
Using its mobile mapping units equipped with LiDAR and 360° imagery, Jakarto digitized 1,200 km of road network as well as the entire cycling network of Lévis. This survey will produce a detailed 3D model that municipal services can rely on to:
✅ Visualize and analyze infrastructure changes
✅ Optimize urban planning and maintenance operations
✅ Improve municipal asset management
✅ Support decision-making with an accurate representation of the territory
An annual update of the data over several years would allow the city to detect changes, anticipate maintenance needs, and ensure that road and cycling infrastructure continues to meet the evolving needs of citizens.
All this data will be integrated into the Jakarto platform, providing a cloud-based solution for data visualization and exploitation, accessible at all times.
In addition to the digital twin, Jakarto has produced precise and automated inventories to optimize the management of urban equipment.

At the heart of the project, the Jakarto platform enables Lévis teams to:
📍 Explore the territory in 3D through an intuitive interface
🔎 Perform advanced spatial analysis (distance, area, volume measurements)
📂 Download and integrate data into their GIS tools
📅 Compare data over time to monitor infrastructure evolution
Thanks to this cloud-based solution, Lévis will benefit from instant access to accurate data, ensuring more efficient decision-making and better urban planning.
This partnership with Jakarto marks a significant step in Lévis’ digital transformation. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies and powerful tools, the city is modernizing its infrastructure management and promoting sustainable mobility for years to come.
