Asset Inventory Accuracy: How Precise Do You Really Need to Be?

🎯 At Jakarto, precision isn’t a coincidence — it’s the result.

Our mobile mapping units, assembled in Quebec, combine the best capture technologies with high-level industrial design.

The result: accurate digital twins and asset inventories, delivered quickly and perfectly suited to the needs of cities, surveying and engineering firms, and infrastructure managers.

🛠️ High-Caliber Equipment

Developed with our Quebec partner TAK Design, our modular system integrates:

  • TELEDYNE Ladybug 6  360° Camera (72 megapixels
  • Exail Inertial Navigation System – accurate navigation even without GNSS

  • Two  Z+F Profiler 9012 LiDAR sensors – 2 million measurements per second

  • Septentrio multi-constellation GNSS – centimeter-level accuracy

  • Integrated DMI – reliable, synchronized linear measurements

Each unit is factory-calibrated according to manufacturer standards, ensuring perfect data synchronization.

🎯 Real-World Accuracy — Even Without Ground Control Points

Thanks to our optimized processing chain:

  • Less than 5 cm XY accuracy in 90% of cases

  • ± 3 mm error for linear measurements up to 50 m

  • Z accuracy suited to most applications

All achieved at capture speeds ranging from 20 to 90 km/h.
For unvalidated inventories, our AI processes data at 300 km/h — without compromising quality.

❓ Is Certification of Asset Inventory Data Always Necessary?

Not necessarily!

An accuracy of 5 to 10 cm is more than enough to:

  • Locate and visualize assets in your GIS

  • Plan operations effectively

  • Reduce field trips

  • Optimize citizen services

Certification is only required for engineering, site layout, or cadastral surveying projects where centimeter-level accuracy must be legally guaranteed by a licensed surveyor.

📋 What Jakarto Inventories

  • Street furniture: benches, trash bins, bus shelters

  • Road signage: traffic lights, signs, street nameplates

  • Overhead networks: poles, cables, attachments, clearances

  • Urban forestry: trees, species, DBH (diameter at breast height), height, canopy

  • Water infrastructure: manholes, catch basins, valves, fire hydrants

All assets are viewable in Jakartowns, or can be integrated directly into your GIS and/or asset management systems.

🚀 Agile, Accessible Precision

At Jakarto, we deliver precise, consistent, interoperable, and immediately usable data — at scale.

  • Rapid deployment of mapping units across Eastern Canada

  • Automated processing, no ground control points required

  • Fast data delivery within 24–48 hours

  • Reduced cost per kilometer thanks to an efficient production workflow

We also integrate data from other mobile mapping systems. Whether from Trimble MX, Leica Pegasus, RIEGL, or any other mobile mapping equipment, the data can be processed, structured, and leveraged on our platform.
